Peer Review 2

After thinking about it, I would have to say that I believe that this peer review was a little more difficult than that of essay #1. In the first essay, it was all about one person, which made it easier to read and understand because we were only looking at one point of view. I really enjoy the fact that we get guidelines to follow in terms of what we should be including in our peer edits. I like these guidelines because without them I don’t think I would know what to say. I always feel bad editing other peoples work because if I say I think they should make changes, I feel like it makes me seem mean. However, with the guidelines, they know that this is what I am supposed to be suggesting and that I’m not doing it out of spite. If I didn’t have guidelines, most of my edits that I would make on a peer’s work would be positive reinforcements such as “Nice imagery!” and other simple things like that. I don’t think I would make comments that would give them advice on how to actually edit their paper to make it better.
