Peer Review 3

The third peer review was a little bit different than the other two that we had done earlier on in the semester. It was still effective and helpful but I’m not totally sure if it was better or worse than previous times. I say this because we had to come up with our own guidelines about what we were looking for and had to comment on. I think this part of the peer review was a little bit stressful because we had to go back into the paper requirements and take note on what we really needed to include in our paper to ensure we got the best grade. This was difficult because I was nervous that I missed something on the requirements and then I wouldn’t be able to find it in the papers that I was editing. On the other hand, I thought this peer review was extremely helpful because we were looking specifically for things in terms of this paper, whereas, in the last two, we were given general things that we had to look for. Overall, the third peer review gave me a ton of insight and helpful advice that I used to improve my paper and end up with a really strong final draft. I feel like this method was really effective because it made me realize that I had to do things on my own, not everything was going to be handed to me and it made me a better learner having to come up with our own guidelines for our third peer review.
